Position Summary

The role of the SunPass Community Engagement Specialist involves delivering exceptional customer service at various outreach events across the state. This is a full-time contract position that requires onsite presence and travel throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist SunPass customers and prospective clients at outreach events with inquiries related to the SunPass Program. This includes enrolling new customers, aiding with account management, and addressing general questions about the program.
  • Utilize product knowledge, a strong work ethic, effective time management, and customer service skills to uphold performance standards that enhance the SunPass reputation.
  • Compile outreach activity reports and provide constructive feedback to facilitate program enhancements.
  • Execute additional tasks or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Flexible work schedule, including availability on weekends.
  • Willingness to travel statewide, including overnight stays.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Extensive experience in face-to-face or telephone customer service.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and processes.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in internet applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capability to research and analyze information.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with the SunPass program.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other applicable standards.
  • Primarily sedentary work, involving sitting or remaining stationary for extended periods, with occasional movement around the office for meetings.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
