About the Role:

The Infection Control Nurse Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, directing, implementing, and evaluating infection control and prevention programs within the main hospital and outpatient clinics. This position will be supervised by the Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Officer and will supervise the RN Infection Preventionist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection control and prevention policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to educate them on infection prevention protocols
  • Investigate and analyze infection control issues and develop action plans to prevent future outbreaks
  • Supervise the RN Infection Preventionist in gathering and analyzing infection data and developing evidence-based decisions
  • Collaborate with government agencies, such as the CDC, to ensure that infection control practices are implemented and enforced
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in infection control and prevention

Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in infection control and prevention
  • BSN or MSN degree
  • Infection Control Certified
  • Experience in an acute care setting
