Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Lakewood, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing stormwater management solutions for mining facilities across the country and globally.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hydraulic and hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design
- Prepare detailed calculation packages including proper documentation and references
- Assist with the development of civil reports, drawings, and specifications
- Design channels and energy dissipation structures that include concrete, riprap, articulated concrete block, fabric-formed concrete, and baffle blocks for erosion control
- Work with CAD designers to produce construction-level drawings including grading, drainage, and roadway plans, profiles, details, and sections
- Perform work in accordance with an agreed-upon scope, budget, and schedule
- Interact with clients, subcontractors, and other business partners in a confident and professional manner
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience in water resources engineering
- Proficient knowledge of stormwater evaluation and design engineering principles, practices, and processes
- Well-developed ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
- Master's Degree in Engineering with a focus on Hydrology/Hydraulics
- Engineer in Training Certification
- Basic knowledge of industry software programs (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Experience with frequency storm and probable maximum precipitation hydrologic analyses
- Experience with hydraulic analyses and design of channels, culverts, bridges, flow measurement, and flood mapping
- Field/Construction experience, basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired
