Job Title: Junior Water Resource Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Water Resource Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Water Resource Engineer, you will be responsible for performing basic complexity calculations, modeling, and data analysis for water resources projects with a focus on riverine and coastal floodplain analyses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine technical tasks to provide experience and familiarization with CDM Smith's engineering methods, practices, standards, and company programs.
  • Use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments.
  • Work under close supervision, receiving specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and expected results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal, or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 0 years of experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Excellent at collaboration and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of basic hydrologic and hydraulic concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles of design.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
