About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sales Department Manager to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our Customer Service Sales department, you will be responsible for overseeing tasks and team members, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate records.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of experience in sales, customer service, retail, or wholesale. You must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and have strong customer service skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Train and Onboard New Team Members: Provide comprehensive training to new team members on their roles and responsibilities.
- Manage Breaks and Time Sheets: Oversee breaks and time sheets for associates to ensure efficient use of time.
- Ensure Training Completion: Verify that all company-sponsored training has been completed by team members.
- Answer and Respond to Incoming Calls: Respond promptly and professionally to incoming customer calls and emails.
- Maintain Documentation: Document inquiries, requests, and issues in the customer interaction tracking database.
- Resolve Customer Complaints: Research and take action to resolve customer complaints to their satisfaction.
- Follow Up on Issues: Ensure customer issues are addressed promptly and follow up as needed to ensure resolution.
- Work with Customers and Departments: Collaborate with customers and other departments to ensure effective communication and status updates on issue resolution.
- Enter Orders into the System: Enter orders into the system accurately and efficiently.
- Track and Maintain Orders: Track, maintain, update, and correct orders in the system.
- Escalate Issues: Escalate issues to management as necessary.
- Prepare Department Paperwork: Prepare, distribute, and maintain department paperwork, records, and reports.
- Distribute Mail: Distribute and deliver incoming and outgoing mail as assigned.

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
