Role Summary

The Facility Manager for DOT Shuttle Operations is accountable for overseeing the daily functions of a DOT-compliant shuttle service. This includes managing personnel, fostering client relationships, and upholding company standards. Additional responsibilities encompass general accounting tasks, human resources activities (such as hiring, training, and termination), and reviewing claims.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer interactions to address and resolve any complaints or misunderstandings regarding shuttle services in a professional manner.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the shuttle service.
  • Ensure that all employees perform their duties efficiently and effectively, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Guarantee adherence to operational protocols, security measures, cash handling, and customer service practices by all staff members.
  • Oversee all personnel matters, including hiring, termination, and training of operational staff.
  • Ensure that customer service is delivered efficiently and effectively to all incoming clients.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility in accordance with company policies.
  • Handle accounting responsibilities such as managing accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, and budgeting processes.
  • Review and manage damage claims to determine accountability.
  • Propose and implement safety improvement plans to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory or management experience in a transportation setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Licensing Requirement: As per DOT regulations, candidates must possess a valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver's License, with a Passenger Endorsement if responsible for operating shuttles with a capacity of 15 or more passengers.
  • DOT Medical Certification: A valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
  • Work Availability: Flexibility in scheduling is required, with potential for 2nd or 3rd shifts and weekend availability based on operational needs.
