Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Team Lead to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our cardiac rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and personnel management for the team in a defined work area, ensuring adequate staffing levels and performance management.
  • Develop and coordinate quality and performance improvement initiatives, supporting program expansion.
  • Develop and maintain departmental procedures and standard work.
  • Perform technical, clinical support, and service functions related to the work area.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership while providing operational oversight, support, and supervision for team members within assigned clinics.
  • Participate in various teaching and/or learning opportunities internally and externally.
  • Assist the Department Manager with performing operational and administrative functions, ensuring regulatory, accreditation, and policy compliance.
  • Foster an environment of mentorship and education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Exercise Science, or a related field of study.
  • 2 years of experience working within a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation setting.
  • AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification required, ACLS required within 6 months of hire, if RN, current Virginia license.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50lbs, stand for prolonged periods, frequently bend/stoop/travel, and be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
