Job Title: Clinical Lead, Faculty

Join the University of Virginia's Faculty and Employee Assistance Program (FEAP) as a Clinical Lead, Faculty. This exciting opportunity is part of the FEAP team, reporting to the Director of the Faculty Employee Assistance Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of FEAP consultants and provide consultation to adhere to best practices in direct client service delivery, compliance with university and FEAP policies and procedures, and support of FEAP consultants.
  • Set goals and objectives with EACs to foster professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure comprehensive training for the EACs.
  • Monitor performance, offer coaching, and conduct performance reviews. Recommendations may include hiring, firing, promotions, and other performance-related decisions.
  • Be available during and occasionally outside of regular work hours for case consultation with EACs and program oversight.
Clinical Services:
  • Provide direct services to employees, family members, and the UVA organization.
  • Conduct assessments, brief interventions, and referrals; establish community linkages and manage cases.
  • Offer expert consultation and training to organizational leadership to support employees needing assistance, aiming to enhance the workplace and improve job performance.
  • Respond to critical incidents.
  • Collaborate in developing and delivering programs to raise awareness of behavioral health and wellness education activities.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities.
  • Provide training and development services to EAP accounts.
  • Adhere to clinical and ethical guidelines set by the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) and relevant professional licensing or disciplinary standards.
EAP Administration:
  • In consultation with the Director, establish standards for documentation, implement quality control, and train new team members on documentation requirements and database use. Provide feedback to the Director on compliance, learning needs, and documentation quality to support measurement of results.
  • Perform account management for assigned EAP accounts.
  • Ensure optimal staff utilization to provide best practice access to FEAP services, working closely with the Administrative Lead on scheduling.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to services.
  • Contribute expertise to the development and measurement of emerging care and consultative models such as the Extended model, Facilitated Management Referrals (FMR), integration of Hoos Well/Virgin Pulse resources, and other wellbeing platforms.
  • Along with the Director, coordinate FEAP's response to emergent situations, serving as the backup to other Clinical Lead and in the absence support of EAC for CCC.
  • Respond to external requests on behalf of the Director as assigned.
  • Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Master's Degree in Mental Health or related field.

Experience: Five years relevant clinical experience including at least two years EAP or program management experience. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.

Licensure: Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) Certification; or licensed to practice as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist or CNS in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
