Job Summary

Pines Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at our Womens & Childrens office in Caribou. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Record patient data accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records.
  • Provide patient education on medications and procedures.
  • Process lab work, office procedures, and make appointments for diagnostic or specialty testing.
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms for provider/patient needs.
  • Assess clinical calls with providers to determine acuity.
  • Administer injections and maintain knowledge of immunizations.
  • Maintain smooth flow in daily schedules between providers and patients.
  • Maintain electronic medical records, read and add dictation, and scan lab results.
  • Relay patient prescriptions to pharmacists and follow-up orders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintain Medical Assistant Certification or obtain within one year of hire.
  • Maintain current BLS through the American Heart Association.
  • Blood borne pathogens, SDS, and other OSHA required training programs.
