Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician I to join our team at UCHealth. As a Sterile Processing Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrument and Equipment Processing: Decontaminate and clean medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Sterilization and Packaging: Sterilize instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaving and dry heat sterilization, and package them for distribution to healthcare teams.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform routine quality control checks on sterilized instruments and equipment to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document all processing and sterilization activities, including instrument tracking and quality control results.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Certified as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from a recognized professional organization.
