Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Sterile Processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the preparation and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using steam autoclaves and plasma low-temperature sterilization equipment.
  • Perform high-level disinfection of equipment and instrumentation using automatic endoscope reprocessing units and manual soaking protocols.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all equipment and instrumentation, including sink cleaning, stainless steel counter top cleaning, and efficacy testing of washers and cavitation machines.
  • Organize and prioritize instrument sets, and ensure that all steps are followed during the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization process.
  • Provide direct assistance to Ambulatory, Ancillary, and OR staff members in managing their instrumentation sets maintenance and updates.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of sterile processing experience required.
  • Certified SPD Technician (CSPDT) certification required.
