Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee intricate supervisory tasks, ensuring optimal performance within the maintenance department on a daily basis. This role involves directing all maintenance personnel and ensuring that documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring compliance with all necessary procedures.
- Supervise the installation, operation, maintenance, and modification of facilities and equipment.
- Design and adapt specialized production machinery as needed.
- Oversee manufacturing processes to minimize costs while maximizing efficiency and safety.
- Lead training initiatives for team members in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair.
- Assist team members in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and guide them in the disassembly, assembly, and installation of industrial machinery during repairs or modifications.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations among staff.
- Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Develop motivational strategies to help associates meet company objectives.
- Conduct specialized training programs for maintenance staff on specific machinery.
- Analyze and resolve equipment modification issues, providing support to associates and contractors as necessary.
- Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and job orders for team members and external contractors.
- Adjust work procedures to align with project and production timelines.
- Recommend enhancements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Collaborate with management and supervisors to coordinate maintenance and construction activities.
- Plan and budget for facility modifications, including cost estimates and project layouts.
Additional Duties:
Schedule personnel and project teams, including external contractors, as required.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical sectors is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Education & Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of four years of relevant work experience, including three years in the Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical fields, along with a four-year degree from an accredited institution.
