We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning Engineering team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale machine learning models and systems that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of MLOps-enabled models and systems that integrate with our existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement a strategy for feature store adoption across the organization.
- Design and implement MLOps processes and assist product teams with adoption.
- Assist in outlining new product/service business case justification to ensure that proposed solutions can deliver articulated business benefits to clients and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Product Manager, Data Scientists, and architects to design our end-to-end Applied Intelligence solution, including areas such as data engineering, advanced analytics, visualization, and reporting.
- Identify use cases for innovative R&D approaches to solving major Machine Learning (ML) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) challenges.
- Design, develop, architect, and deploy enterprise solutions that leverage AI/ML architectural knowledge and standard DevOps pipelines.
- Implement standard DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Engage with product owners, product managers, technical anchors, and other PDO team SMEs to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Collaborate with other architects and the technology delivery team to define architectural approaches/solutions that meet business needs.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Expertise in software development, data and analytics, visualization, AI/ML techniques, data management and governance, DevOps/MLOps best practices.
- Experience in building batch and streaming data pipelines, working in Agile/Scrum setup, and proficiency in Spark, Java/Scala, Hadoop, Kafka, Python.
- Solid experience of SQL and NoSQL database technologies, experience with product development life cycle, product and platform configurations, and business processes.
- Experience working with development and deployment tools, processes, approaches, and techniques, and creating compelling and articulate arguments to Senior Leadership.
- Expert command of the English language, semantics, vocabulary, and grammar, and knowledge in a broad spectrum of architecture domains, including Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Application Architecture, Security Architecture, and Integration Architecture.
- Expert in cloud and infrastructure, including K8S, serverless, API, and NoSQL, and hands-on experience in defining CI/CD pipelines for enterprises.
- Excellent team player, with great communication skills and the ability to lead junior team members.
