Job Summary

As a Sales Manager at Countertop World, you will provide daily sales leadership to sales representatives and coordinate goals and budget forecasts. You will utilize sales strategies to increase sales from existing customers and acquire new accounts while maintaining profit margins.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage order entries and proposals.
  2. Stay up-to-date on all products.
  3. Develop, implement, guide, and monitor sales strategies within the sales division.
  4. Coordinate schedules and training of sales staff.
  5. Keep management team informed on current industry trends and new business opportunities.
  6. Participate in trade shows and special events as required.
  7. Evaluate sales representatives based on company goals and objectives and their ability to meet and exceed sales forecasts and profit margins.
  8. Ensure customer satisfaction exceeds expectations.
  9. Evaluate competition and procure their materials where possible.
  10. Cultivate relationships with key accounts and be responsible for calls to potential accounts.
  11. Assist in developing and implementing short- and long-term sales plans.
  12. Research and recommend sales training programs, industry training, and trade organization participation that provide sales and technological tools that directly enhance sales staff competency and efficiencies.
  13. Participate in developing new designs, projects, and proposals.
  14. Promote positive relations with brokers, wholesalers, and shops.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Hire, train, and monitor new sales staff and occasionally travel with sales representatives to evaluate performance and provide insight. Hold monthly sales meetings. Familiar with inner workings of the pricing program. Work as a liaison between sales staff and shop on opportunities and concerns.

Requirements:

1. Must have extensive knowledge of shop processes. Must possess a positive and energetic attitude and the ability to motivate people. Excellent people skills are a must for working with sales staff and customers. Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to represent the organization professionally. Must have good negotiation skills.

2. Must have strong computer skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines. Must possess 'long-term vision.'

3. Ten years of sales experience. Construction experience is a plus.
