Responsibilities:
Measure temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.

Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment.

Assist patients with mobility, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.

Prepare and provide meals or assist with meal preparation.

Perform light housekeeping and other environmental services.

Observe, report, and document any changes in patient status.

Understand basic elements of body functioning and report changes in patients' conditions as necessary.

Recognize emergency situations and implement appropriate emergency procedures according to care center policy.

Adhere to care center protocols regarding infection prevention and control, handling of hazardous waste, and safety measures.

Follow specific written instructions for personal care in accordance with the care plan.

Assist patients with prescribed exercises as directed by a nurse or therapist.

Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant in accordance with state requirements.

CNA experience within the last two years. If it has been more than two years, completion of another training and competency program is required before providing services.

Must successfully pass the competency program of the care center.

Current CPR certification.
