Production Operations Manager

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the manufacturing processes within our CNC Blanking and Press Brake divisions. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement and aligning operations with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures comprehensive training for all team members on safety protocols and consistently enforces adherence to these practices.
Implements measures to guarantee that all departmental processes are executed safely, collaborating with engineering and safety personnel to enhance ergonomics across operations.
Champions initiatives aimed at improving process performance in the CNC Blanking and Press Brake sectors, focusing on elevating product quality metrics for customer satisfaction.
Coordinates with planning and production control teams to consistently meet production timelines. Responsible for weekly scheduling decisions, including overtime management, and presents staffing recommendations to senior management to meet production demands.
Ensures a steady flow of products through manufacturing departments daily, prioritizing critical items to fulfill customer requirements.
Leads initiatives to boost productivity in the CNC Blanking and Press Brake departments, optimizing the use of direct labor resources.
Monitors departmental expenditures in line with annual budgets, actively participating in the budgeting process to ensure financial accuracy.
Provides leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations for group leaders and associates within assigned departments, ensuring appropriate training levels for all personnel.
Qualifications:
10 to 15 years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May supervise 10 to 25 direct labor associates. The individual will execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, rewarding, and addressing employee concerns.
Other Requirements:
Possesses a strong understanding of operations management and manufacturing processes, with experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Computer Skills:
To succeed in this role, candidates should have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Internet Explorer, design and development software, human resources software, inventory management software, and be well-versed in manufacturing software (ERP) and project management tools.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical literature, financial documents, and legal materials. Capable of responding to inquiries from customers, regulatory bodies, or business community members, and effectively presenting information to top management and public forums.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to engage with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Proficient in applying concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Capable of interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagrammatic forms, managing several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands:

While executing job duties, the associate is regularly required to sit, walk, navigate through the office and factory, use hands for handling or feeling, communicate verbally in person and over the phone, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and utilize a computer keyboard.

Full Time - 40 hours per week
