Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist to join our IT team in Las Vegas, NV. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and defending our systems against cyber threats, managing phishing attempts, and ensuring the security of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring:
Utilize Microsoft Defender to monitor and analyze system alerts, detect potential threats, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

Phishing Management:
Identify and manage phishing attempts, ensuring quick resolution and educating end-users on recognizing phishing attacks.

Email Security:
Support the management and configuration of Proofpoint to filter and secure incoming and outgoing email communications.

System Administration:
Assist with the administration of both Linux and Windows environments, ensuring systems are secure, updated, and operating efficiently.

Incident Response:
Participate in the incident response process, including documenting and reporting on security events and breaches.

Security Compliance:
Ensure all systems and processes comply with internal security policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Experience:
1+ years of experience with Microsoft Defender, phishing management, and Proofpoint.
Operating Systems: 1+ years of experience working with Linux and Windows environments.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
