Technical Sales Manager

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fiber cement home siding and exterior design solutions. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving customer retention and growth through effective account management.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain key relationships with influential install companies in targeted geographies and defend our business with them.
- Identify growth opportunities with install companies within the region and partner with internal stakeholders to gain their business.
- Support customers in transitioning to James Hardie by eliminating barriers to conversion and creating a positive customer experience.
- Utilize CRM tools to drive informed decisions and enable additional volume growth year over year.
- Assist Territory Sales Reps and Business Development Manager in gaining additional volume growth year over year.
- Execute segmentation to evaluate and assess the market and lead all aspects of the customer sales process.
- Cultivate relationships, grow networks, and nurture leads to identify targets.
- Be the subject matter expert in all technical install practices of our product offerings.
- Manage and hold yourself accountable to a priority-based schedule with prospective customers.
- Flexibility to identify and attend key activities within assigned territory.
- High level of networking and engagement across account base.
- Influence key stakeholders to become advocates for James Hardie.
- Develop a solid understanding of company products and installation practices, as well as customer programs and benefits.
- Analyze and interpret data to drive decision-making in your market.
- Host, lead, and present in front of large audiences.
- Possess a passion for your company and personal success to meet or exceed goals.
- 3+ years of sales experience in a high-touch sales environment.
- High level of organization, discipline, and self-structure.
- Able to convey construction expertise and knowledge at job sites.
- Strong sales mentality and understanding of the sales process.
- Ability to effectively build relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders to become advocates for James Hardie.
- Experience working on construction sites is preferred.
- Able to present in front of large groups.
- Travel 10-15%.
- A valid driver's license required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, must be from an accredited institution.
