Job Summary

Upland Talent is seeking a highly skilled Branch Operations Manager to lead our service and parts departments in achieving efficient and profitable operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and leading a successful team of employees, building branch profitability, and creating exceptional customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the Standard for Excellence: Establish and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that our branch operates in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction through effective communication, professionalism, and urgency before, during, and after the sale.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement action plans and financial objectives to drive the overall success of the branch.
  • Financial Management: Create a realistic and accurate Capital Expense Budget annually, ensuring that our branch operates within budget.
  • After-Hours Service: Implement and maintain procedures to meet our customers' expectations for after-hours service, ensuring that our customers receive timely and effective support.
  • Team Leadership: Work closely with branch supervisors to address issues involving customers, employees, equipment, and other matters.
  • Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to communicate opportunities for sales, visit customers or potential customers, and provide support for after-hours calls.
  • Credit Administration: Ensure that credit policies are administered correctly and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Market Analysis: Understand local markets and work with Sales and Administration to ensure market-based pricing.
  • Recruiting and Hiring: Oversee the recruiting and hiring of the branch team, ensuring that the organization structure supports the needs of the branch, customers, and company.
  • Workforce Management: Manage the workforce to ensure maximum productivity and effectiveness through mentoring and training opportunities.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner through feedback and coaching.
  • Performance Evaluations: Ensure that all branch employees receive regular, fair, and accurate performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Education: 2 or 4-year degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Experience: 4+ years of related supervisory/leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: 4+ years of technical or mechanical knowledge required.

  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of product line and/or a willingness to continue education on new products required.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and ability to make good and timely decisions for customers and the company.

Travel and Work Environment

Up to 10% travel required. The work environment may be indoor and/or outdoor, with occasional exposure to loud noises.
