Scope of PositionPositioned in Atlantic Canada and reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Finance will oversee all financial and administrative functions of the organization. This role is crucial for providing timely and accurate financial reporting to the executive management team and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, offering financial insights on major strategic decisions, including partnerships and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with business line managers to establish relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure operational processes yield timely and precise information.
- Effectively manage the company's cash flow and assist the CEO in fundraising efforts.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with investors, banks, suppliers, customers, and partners in collaboration with the CEO and other team members.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Lead the budgeting and auditing processes to ensure financial integrity.
- Contribute to the overall management of the firm as a member of the senior management team.
- Act as the primary financial liaison for the CEO with banking institutions and other external stakeholders regarding the company’s financial activities.
- Participate in the development and execution of the operational and strategic business plans alongside the executive management team.
- Deliver comprehensive financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and rolling forecasts to the executive management team and Board of Directors.
- Oversee the accounting, tax, insurance, audit, budget, credit, and treasury functions, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Specific performance metrics will be established with the successful candidate prior to joining the organization.

- Hands-on experience in a SaaS environment or similar business models.
- Background in managing acquisitions and strategic partnerships in a growth-focused setting.
