The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in empowering our customers to build, manage, and grow successful landscape businesses. As the face of the sales center, you will be the primary point of contact for walk-ins, phone orders, and will call service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Greet customers with a positive attitude, listen to their needs, and provide recommendations to improve their bottom line.
  • Product Knowledge: Share product knowledge, upsell options, and complimentary items to make customers' jobs easier and more profitable.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and utilize company resources to sell Horizon's value and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Order Fulfillment: Prepare sales orders, assist customers in selecting and loading merchandise, and make follow-up calls to introduce opportunities and solicit additional business.
  • Customer Resolution: Resolve customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, well-organized, and well-stocked sales center.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties.
Requirements
  • Customer-Focused: Strong customer-service attitude and self-motivated personality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to think critically and identify solutions to problems.
  • Team Player: Cooperative, dependable team player with good computer and record-keeping skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift and move items that weigh up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Certifications: Possess or obtain forklift certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Irrigation experience is a huge plus, and knowledge in other landscape products is helpful.
