About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Manager of Embedded Software Engineering to lead our software development team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of embedded software solutions for our products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of software with hardware components. Your expertise in embedded systems programming languages, real-time operating systems, and hardware/software integration will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission.

Responsibilities

As a Manager of Embedded Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Providing guidance and support to team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Managing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Developing project plans and schedules to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to project success and addressing any issues that arise
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team to solve complex problems and make sound technical decisions
  • Staying current with industry trends and best practices in embedded software development
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement in our software development processes


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an embedded software developer
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role with a proven track record of successfully leading software development teams
  • Excellent technical skills in embedded systems programming languages such as C or C++
  • Experience with real-time operating systems and hardware/software integration
  • Strong understanding of software development processes


Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, as well as experience with automotive cybersecurity, Cloud IoT architectures, and embedded Linux.
