Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics. As a Human Factors Engineer - Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the successful completion of major engineering programs and conceiving research in areas of considerable scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction to cross-functional teams and lead the development of human factors requirements and design solutions.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research in areas of considerable scope and complexity, and develop innovative solutions to support the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.
  • Design and Development: Design and lead part-task simulation evaluations, apply data analysis methods, and prepare and execute test plans.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams, communicate technical concepts clearly and succinctly, and provide technical guidance to team members.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position.
  • Experience: 10 years in specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines.
  • Skills: Experience with basic research methods, human subjects in evaluations and experiments, planning programs, and successful completion of programs with integration and human-machine interface aspects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: Master's or Ph.D. in engineering or related curriculum.
  • Aviation/Aerospace Experience: Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Simulation Software: Experience with simulation software such as CATIA V5 Human Builder, 3DSSPP, or iData.
  • Requirements Management Tools: Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Experience with Lean Six Sigma philosophies.
