About the Role

The Dietary Aide is a vital member of our food services team at Aperion Care, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and service to our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe environment, preparing and serving meals, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders. Ensure that food is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly maintained. Follow infection control precautions when performing daily tasks.
  • Dishwashing and Cleaning: Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures to ensure that utensils and equipment are readily available for the next meal.
  • Snack Delivery and Service: Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed, and serve food and drinks in the dining room as directed.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Attention to Detail: Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their individual needs.
  • Adaptability: Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing food practices.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, and be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet.
