Position: Staff Accountant
We are in search of a highly skilled individual to enhance our finance department and contribute to the accounting operations at NECA. This position will report directly to the Senior Accountant and will collaborate closely with various departments throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monthly financial closing process.
- Prepare balance sheet analyses and reconciliations to substantiate financial figures.
- Draft journal entries.
- Support ad hoc analysis and reporting for the Senior Accountant and other accounting team members.
- Compile information for the annual audit as required by external CPA firms.
- Engage in additional related tasks and participate in special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP's, and SUMIF's).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proven track record of adhering to standard operating procedures.
- A proactive attitude towards team collaboration and independent tasks, with a continuous desire to learn and take initiative on diverse projects.
