We are currently in search of a Senior Systems Architect – Expert level (Microsoft Exchange) to enhance our team.


Key Responsibilities & Required Qualifications:

  • Provide support as a Microsoft Exchange Engineer, delivering engineering and technical assistance in a critical Windows-based environment to users globally. Must possess the ability to analyze requirements, comprehend the architecture, and troubleshoot various data processing issues for applications.
  • Assist in the design of the organization's technological framework and the execution of hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Hold extensive knowledge of Exchange 2016 or 2019.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of system components and the supporting elements of the architecture, including the operating system and relevant networks.
  • Plan and execute Exchange platform upgrades, adapting standard deployment packages to align with the unique security architecture in place.
  • Assess the current environment and contribute to the development of a platform roadmap, analyzing system performance and recommending corrective and preventive measures.
  • Conceptualize, design, and implement solutions to issues reported or identified, continuously enhancing the quality of service provided by the email infrastructure.
  • Deliver prompt and high-quality solutions to customer inquiries and requests, focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist in analyzing migrations to new Exchange server environments.
  • Address customer requests to rectify or modify malfunctioning applications.
  • Investigate issues related to applications, servers, and storage.
  • Report to management on the status of issues, corrective actions being taken, and the resolution of investigations.
  • Collaborate with Premier Technical Account Managers to effectively manage critical sites, including documented action plans and daily status updates for customers and management.
  • Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with fellow engineers and efficiently resolve customer issues.
  • Experience with Exchange Server 2016 or 2019, including implementing and troubleshooting Database Availability Groups.
  • Practical experience in troubleshooting Exchange Server and Windows Server performance issues involving Outlook 2016 or 2019.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations, devising and implementing action plans, and communicating professionally with all parties involved.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Active Directory (architecture, design, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting).
  • Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) in iterative development projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.) or the capability to automate through PowerShell scripting.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Administration Certification or related engineering certifications including Azure is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in networking and establishing professional relationships.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrating strong organizational skills, and consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines.

Physical Demands:
The position will involve frequent sitting, standing, and/or mobility within an office environment.

Employees must be able to use their hands to perform tasks at a workstation/computer, reach, type, and manipulate with hands, fingers, and arms; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; talk, see, and hear.


Work Environment:
Work is conducted in a professional office setting with moderate stress and noise levels.

The position requires employees to effectively use a computer, potentially for extended periods, and to accommodate frequent interruptions.

Candidates should be customer-focused and adopt a team-oriented approach to their work.

Schedule:
Core business hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. Standard work hours may vary based on contract requirements. The position will be located onsite at a customer facility.
