Job Summary

The Colville Tribes is seeking a Para-Educator Assistant to support the educational needs of students in a classroom setting. This role will assist the classroom teacher with individualized and group instruction, as well as provide support with daily classroom routines and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying learning needs
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
  • Assist with record keeping and reporting
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, and staff

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Education or related field
  • Valid Washington State driver's license
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Native American children
  • Knowledge of Reservation lifestyles and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
