Mission Veterinary Partners is seeking a dedicated

Veterinary Receptionist to enhance our client engagement.

Position Details: This is a full-time role requiring 30+ hours per week, with potential for occasional urgent care shifts.

Compensation: Starting at $18.00/hour, commensurate with experience.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for individuals with outstanding phone communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in computer systems. Team collaboration and the capacity to perform under pressure are essential.

Role Summary: The Receptionist serves as the initial and final point of contact for clients, playing a crucial role in establishing positive first and lasting impressions. This position requires exceptional customer service and communication abilities, computer proficiency, financial transaction handling, multitasking capabilities, a friendly demeanor, and the confidence to navigate stressful situations. The Receptionist will assist veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, groomers, and kennel staff in providing daily care for patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of the organization.
  • Welcome clients and their pets warmly, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing client inquiries regarding basic animal care and routine procedures.
  • Efficiently screen and direct calls to the appropriate personnel, ensuring timely message delivery and accurate patient record retrieval.
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries in accordance with established guidelines, confirming appointments as necessary.
  • Document details from client interactions in medical records, ensuring accurate and comprehensive notes.
  • Process charges accurately and explain invoices clearly, reinforcing the value of the services provided.
  • Collect payments for services rendered, including cash handling and credit card processing.
  • Verify client eligibility for charge accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of client contact information in medical records.
  • Assist clients with prescription refills and provide necessary administration instructions.
  • Offer guidance on preventative care products and services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology, including pronunciation and spelling.
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills.
