Job Summary:

The Senior Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries, placing orders, and providing guidance to less experienced representatives. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Place customer orders via various channels, including telephone, email, and electronic methods.
  • Influence gross profit through negotiating sale and purchase prices within established parameters.
  • Adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit for the company.
  • Build customer relationships to drive repeat business by understanding customer needs and wants.
  • Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
  • Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
  • Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
  • Determine the most cost-effective shipping method for customer orders.
  • Handle customer returns and provide coaching and guidance to less experienced representatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Five or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to multi-task.
  • Reliability, organization, and attention to detail required.
