Job Description

As a Field Service Representative with Zenon Environmental Corporation, you will be responsible for providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for customers in various locations. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies, including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, de-oxygenation, electro deionization, membrane bio reactor, and ultrafiltration, in both pure water and wastewater applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, monitor, and optimize RO equipment performance at P66 Ferndale refinery
  • Support ongoing operations in surrounding areas as required
  • Provide on-call support for ongoing site operations
  • Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
  • Perform analytical testing, including turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
  • Create and maintain site paperwork, weekly, monthly reports, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
  • Develop site-specific procedures applicable to the operation of our pure water and wastewater equipment at various customer sites, including refining, nuclear, and beverage accounts
  • Consult with customer management and operation teams
  • Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
  • Reside within 60 minutes of assigned site
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED/Home School Certification or international equivalent and 2+ years' experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial water treatment related to MMF, RO, UF, minor chemical injection systems desired
  • Working experience with chemical injection systems and troubleshooting is preferred
  • Experience in hands-on mechanical and minor electrical work
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining site safety management systems (EHS compliance)
  • Previous experience with the operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation used for quality assurance on water treatment equipment
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed, target is 50-60%
  • Ability to gain and maintain access to sites as assigned, including refineries/Nuclear unescorted access
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record per Fleet department guidelines
  • Ability to pass background check, drug and alcohol test, and obtain a TWIC card
