Job Summary

Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy is seeking a skilled Access Control Specialist to join our team. As an Access Control Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electronic locking systems and automatic doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and modify access control board card readers, electric locks, and other supporting devices.
  • Maintain electronic locking systems, including electric strikes, electric hinges, and their subsystems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace motors and gearboxes.
  • Maintain manual and automated records of locking systems, including card keys, cores, lock locations, authorizations, and inventory.
  • Procure and maintain parts and materials for work activities.
  • Survey systems and recommend keying and sub-keying systems.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of directly related experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses.
