Position Summary
The Account Specialist is the face of the Company to our customers. This role is responsible for maintaining great working relationships with our clients and handling their day-to-day business needs. Key responsibilities include overseeing client accounts, providing exemplary and personal service to a variety of customers, and assisting in order processing. Effective communication is crucial in this role, acting as a liaison between customers and the warehouse operations team. This includes communicating inbound/outbound demand and special customer needs, working with ITS' Fleet and Freight Brokerage to better serve customers, and providing consistent and professional communication with clients regarding the status of their orders or special projects. The Account Specialist must act in the client's best interests, anticipate their needs, and provide proactive insight and solutions to their business challenges. They must also understand and act in accordance with client contracts, perform basic billing and auditing, and create and maintain documented standard operating procedures specific to their clients.
Position Requirements
Requirements for this position include, but are not limited to: proficiency with automated information systems to research and resolve client-related issues, strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), excellent verbal and written skills (phone etiquette and fluency in English required), and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, with a willingness to go 'above and beyond' in the spirit of client support.
