Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Preventative Maintenance Tech

At Ryder, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Preventative Maintenance Tech to join our team in Marietta, Georgia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred

  • Competitive hourly pay: $24.50 per hour
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
