Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Marietta, Georgia. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coach and mentor other technicians
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Benefits:
  • Average weekly pay: $1240
  • Hourly pay: $31.00 per hour
  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $2500 at 30 days and $2500 at 90 days
