Diesel Mechanic Position

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Marietta, Georgia. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs.
Responsibilities:
• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint
• Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
• Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
• Basic tools, required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
• All other certification as required by location, required
