Job Summary

Overview: Responsible for preparing food in compliance with relevant federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, adhering to established policies and procedures. Ensures consistent quality in food service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by ensuring correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, and maintaining food at the appropriate temperature while ensuring it is visually appealing and flavorful.
  • Follows established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records from the area worked during service periods.
  • Maintains cleanliness in the kitchen post-preparation and serving, adhering to high standards of hygiene. Safely stores or discards excess food according to food-handling procedures.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms organized and clean, ensuring food and supply items are stored according to standards.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as directed.
  • Assists in production planning, record-keeping, and reporting as necessary.
  • Participates in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
  • Reports any maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Fosters positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
  • Ensures a safe and clean work environment while performing job duties.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
