Job Description:

The Recovery Coach role at Avalon Wellness & Recovery Center is an integral part of our Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model of community-based services. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work closely with clients to help them bridge the gap between professional treatment and sustainable recovery. Your primary purpose will be to assist clients in identifying and achieving their recovery goals, while also providing information and guidance on community resources, treatment options, and support groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in recovery from substance use disorders
  • Facilitate skill-building and education sessions in areas such as coping skills, stress management, and relapse prevention
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans tailored to client needs
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and services provided

Requirements:

  • Lived experience in recovery for addictions, through personal experience or a family member with personal experience
  • Service work associated to recovery, such as sponsoring, holding positions in home group, district, and state level as well as volunteer activities in the community
  • Basic Peer Mentor 6-hour introductory training and 15-hour advanced training will be required to be completed within 1 year of employment

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 per year
