About This Position:
The Peer Leadership Coordinator works in one of our Youth and Young Adult Access Centers to coordinate leadership activities, conduct engagement efforts, and ensure youth voice is reflected throughout the center. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for enhancing skills of self-direction and empowerment among young adults. You will also provide outreach and marketing efforts to educate stakeholders about our program and services offered.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote youth-led initiatives and decisions in all aspects of the operation.
  • Support young adults in developing life skills, finding their voice, and identifying their strengths.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to retain young adults in services.
  • Collaborate with the YA Director to arrange trainings and forums based on youth feedback.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline, be a Certified Peer Specialist, and have experience working with young adults experiencing co-occurring disorders. Additionally, you should be able to form solid connections with young adults with mental health concerns and possess knowledge of the DMH Child Youth and Family and Adult services systems.
