Job Title: Strategic Communications Specialist

PCI Productions is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic communications, event planning, and public affairs.

Job Summary:

The Strategic Communications Specialist will provide strategic communications outreach planning support for up to six events per year. This includes coordinating event planning, developing materials, hosting prep sessions, and providing after-action reports and lessons learned analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate event planning for up to six outreach events per year, including proposing agendas and project plans, developing materials, and hosting prep sessions.
  • Develop and manage a knowledge management repository for all DCSA outreach events.
  • Capture client requirements and expectations for each event and align event milestones, approaches, and activities to these objectives.
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
  • Provide support for event set-up, tear-down, and follow-up processes.
  • Coordinate activities with federal staff to book venues, talent, photographers, and schedule speakers.
  • Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client's standards.
  • Coordinate event communication, media, messaging, and associated materials.
  • Conduct outreach to ensure dissemination of event details to customers, public, partners, etc.
  • Develop process, monitoring, and management of attendees, RSVPs, briefing/briefer requirements, and ensure senior attendance/protocols are implemented.
  • Assess an event's overall success and submit findings; collect and document attendee details along with other forms of feedback (e.g. surveys) and metrics.
  • Complete communication plan to support large events; manage and execute details; coordinate and manage working groups associated with the event – include stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with DCSA Public Affairs team and other communication teams.
Qualifications:
  • Must have an active Secret level security clearance.
  • High School Diploma.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
