Role Summary:

As a key member of our Private Bank, you will provide comprehensive lending and cash management solutions through Goldman Sachs Bank USA, aligning these offerings with our clients' wealth management strategies. You will work closely with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) to advise on new lending opportunities, refinancing, and loan restructuring, while maintaining a focus on effective liability management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen internal relationships to enhance lending initiatives
  • Identify and capitalize on lending opportunities in collaboration with PWM teams
  • Advise clients and advisors on customized lending solutions, ensuring a commitment to excellence in execution
  • Engage in client meetings alongside PWAs to showcase the services of Goldman Sachs Private Bank
  • Evaluate lending requests and craft innovative loan structures that benefit both clients and the firm
  • Work with the US Underwriting team to prepare credit memos and manage portfolio risk
  • Proactively address initial default situations or at-risk accounts within your portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with credit and control protocols consistently
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and their PWAs to manage expectations effectively

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in originating lending for ultra-high net worth clients and conducting credit analysis in a private or commercial banking environment
  • Expertise in Commercial Real Estate financing is preferred
  • Experience with underwriting various asset classes, including securities-based loans and structured lending
  • Ability to provide guidance to clients and develop creative solutions to meet their financial objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-focused setting
  • Motivated by a desire for continuous professional development in a dynamic industry
  • Completion of a formal credit training program is advantageous
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required
