Job Overview

The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in assisting customers by documenting vehicle issues and coordinating repair services with the automotive team. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire necessary parts for repairs and accurately input all data into the Fleet database for precise billing.
  • Respond to incoming service inquiries.
  • Organize and manage service appointments.
  • Monitor repair progress and keep customers informed.
  • Perform errands as required, such as picking up parts and delivering materials.
  • Provide support to mechanics by delivering parts and running errands as instructed.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by supervisors and mechanics.
  • Transport clients as necessary.
  • Engage with clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining the inventory management system.
  • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as an automotive service advisor is highly preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate technical issues clearly.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent record-keeping abilities.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
