SUMMARY:

The Logistics Process Improvement Specialist is an integral member of the Corporate Logistics Thermal Management team. This role is focused on defining the Logistics vision, mission, strategies, processes, and compliance across multiple manufacturing facilities. The specialist is tasked with enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness within Logistics and its collaboration with other departments such as Purchasing, Packaging, Quality, and Production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including Central and Plant Logistics, to model and refine processes until improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Conduct meetings, gather data, analyze processes, and perform related activities to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with teams to make informed decisions aimed at eliminating inefficiencies and optimizing workflows.
  • Evaluate processes in real-time and historically against established KPIs to foster positive trends.
  • Investigate business processes and workflows to determine opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Map current processes and design optimized workflows for Central and Plant Logistics, Purchasing, Production, and Quality.
  • Facilitate workshops to document findings using process maps and business requirements, presenting new designs to stakeholders for feedback.
  • Educate business users responsible for managing and executing business processes.
  • Oversee inventory and consignment management across North America, working closely with Plant Logistics to align inventory levels with budgetary and forecasting goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related Engineering field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Inventory Management, Freight Analysis, Warehouse Management, Material Flow, or Packaging Concepts is essential.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment within the Automotive sector is necessary.
  • Proficiency in SAP is required.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma/Green Belt Certification is advantageous.
  • Strong business analysis capabilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
