About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting cargo to and from various destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy and tractor-trailer GVW capacity trucks to transport cargo to and from customer locations, airline, and trucking terminals.
  • Ensure safe and efficient transportation of cargo, adhering to all safety rules and DOT regulations.
  • Act as a messenger for the company, providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Load and unload freight using a forklift and pallet jack, ensuring proper securing and safety of cargo.
  • Verify cargo is correct and in good condition, checking delivery documentation for accuracy.
  • Report any irregularities related to pick-up and/or delivery of cargo, including damage, shortage, customer complaints, or requests.
  • Maintain radio contact or communication with dispatch office, promptly reporting delays due to weather conditions, breakdowns, accidents, or emergencies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year verifiable CDL Class A or B driving experience in the industry and in type of vehicle to be driven.
  • Valid state-issued Class C Driver's License issued by the driver's home state of residence.
  • Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations, and Company policy.
  • Must meet the physical requirements established by the DOT and have, or be able to provide, a current valid medical card.
