SUMMARY:

The Logistics Process Improvement Specialist is an integral member of the Corporate Logistics Thermal Management team. This role encompasses the development of the Logistics vision, mission, strategies, processes, and compliance oversight across multiple manufacturing facilities. The position is focused on enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness within Logistics and its collaboration with various departments such as Purchasing, Packaging, Quality, and Production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage with central and plant logistics teams to model and refine processes, ensuring improvements are effectively implemented.
  • Conduct meetings, perform research, gather data, and analyze information to support process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, driving improvements in efficiency.
  • Evaluate processes in real-time and historically against established KPIs to foster positive trends.
  • Examine business workflows to identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Create process maps of existing logistics and related operations, designing optimized workflows.
  • Lead workshops to facilitate process discussions and document findings through process maps and requirements.
  • Train business users on managing and operating improved business processes.
  • Oversee inventory and consignment management across North America, working with plant logistics to align inventory levels with budgetary goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related Engineering field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Inventory Management, Freight Analysis, Warehouse Management, or Material Flow is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment within the automotive sector is essential.
  • Proficiency in SAP is mandatory.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma/Green Belt certification is advantageous.
  • Strong business analysis capabilities are necessary.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
