Position Overview:

As a Senior Electronic Engineering Technician at Nightwing, you will embark on a pivotal role that combines electronic engineering expertise with testing proficiency. This position is essential for conducting evaluations, operating equipment, and performing experiments that contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct troubleshooting, programming, repair, and installation of control boards and electronic components.
  • Interpret technical manuals and work orders to execute necessary tasks effectively.
  • Set up and manage testing equipment, ensuring optimal performance through adjustments and modifications.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing standards and develop innovative testing methodologies.
  • Install and test electronic control systems, ensuring compliance with established specifications.
  • Document test results and product performance meticulously.
  • Analyze assembly diagrams and schematics to identify and rectify errors in electronic prototypes and pre-production assemblies.
  • Operate and maintain electronic systems and associated testing equipment.
  • Propose modifications to circuitry and installation specifications to enhance assembly and maintenance processes.
  • Perform functional and operational tests to evaluate product performance against specified requirements.
  • Interpret test data and implement solutions to resolve equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and test new products during development phases.
  • Conduct inspections on electronic equipment to determine the need for repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Provide emergency repairs for production equipment as necessary.

Qualifications Required:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerospace electrical products and electronic testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with design and testing software, such as LabVIEW, Python, or MATLAB.
