Patient Access Coordinator

This part-time position is located at the Tucson Surgery Center and involves performing patient registration and office support duties of a complex nature. The ideal candidate will provide quality customer service to internal and external customers, participate in the collection process of patient liability, and demonstrate appropriate prioritization and planning skills in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal customers
- Perform patient registration and office support duties
- Participate in the collection process of patient liability
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Stay up-to-date with changing policies, procedures, and regulations
- High School diploma or equivalent required; one year of registration experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Ability to read and write English fluently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
