Senior Civil Engineer for Leading Engineering Firm

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join a prominent engineering firm in New England. This position requires a dedicated professional who is a US citizen or Green Card holder and is willing to work in the office several days a week, with the potential for a hybrid schedule after training.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and a positive attitude. Our client is looking for an experienced civil engineer with approximately ten years of expertise in areas such as drainage design and highway engineering. The focus will be on civil site work rather than civil structural projects.
- Develop detailed engineering designs for projects including roadways, drainage systems, and culverts.
- Prepare initial and final plans, profiles, cost estimates, and contract specifications.
- Collaborate with various departments to formulate designs and specifications for construction initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance and respond to inquiries from other departments.
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports on technical issues as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive digital records and contribute to the enhancement of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Perform engineering calculations related to stresses, strains, and tolerances.
- Conduct site observations to inform design modifications.
- Stay updated on industry developments and trends.
- Oversee assessments for runway improvements and manage legal documentation for easements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Review and assess various engineering applications to ensure adherence to applicable ordinances and specifications.
- Calculate bond amounts for subdivision releases and other documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Prepare and disseminate reports and analyses related to engineering projects.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Ten years of relevant civil engineering experience is essential.
- A valid Massachusetts Driver's License is mandatory.
- The candidate must be able to obtain a Massachusetts Professional Engineer's License within one year of employment.
