Job Summary

VASK INC. DBA IHOP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dish Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our dishware and utensils, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional and functional working relationships with IHOP employees and customers.
  • Sort, wash, and sanitize all china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
  • Follow established procedures for dish machine and sink operations.
  • Perform Food Safety Evaluations, LTO Training, A/B Status, Operations Excellence, and Health Department Inspections as required.
  • Execute Guest Relations for NGC – Normalized Guest Complaints Index to ensure a quality guest experience.
  • Unload, unbox, rotate, and store food, equipment, and supplies as necessary.
  • Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service area and dining room.
  • Comply with all local, state, and health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
  • Dispose of trash properly.
  • Check restrooms every half hour to ensure proper stocking levels and supplies, and the cleanliness of the facilities.
  • Clean, clear, manicure, re-set tables, clean chairs, booths, and floors.
  • Perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.
  • Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards.
  • Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or acting supervisor.
Requirements
  • Preferred minimal work experience as a dishwasher.
  • Must be proficient in operating with different types of dishes.
  • Must know and follow all food safety procedures.
  • Must carry at least a high school diploma or an equivalent.
  • Must have communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized working environment.
  • Bussing tables to collect soiled plates and flatware.
  • Maintaining the availability of clean dishes at all times.
  • Cleaning kitchen appliances and machines.
  • Helping other team members to unload and store deliveries.
  • Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises.
  • Adhere to food safety procedures and regulations.
  • Taking out the trash.
  • Washing garbage cans.

  • No prior experience or training is required.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to understand oral instructions in English and read English or Spanish well enough to understand simple correspondence, communicate with customers, and read instructions, warning, and safety labels.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities
  • IHOP training course work as assigned.
