We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Supervisor to lead our team of CNC Machine Operators. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and experience in supervising a team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the CNC Machine Shop, ensuring that production goals are met and team members are working efficiently.
- Assist with prioritizing workloads, schedules, and production plans to maximize productivity.
- Ensure that all equipment is functional and coordinate any repairs with the maintenance team.
- Advise management on the needs of the CNC Machine Shop, including tooling and equipment requirements.
- Remove and install tooling and set up machines according to provided tool sheets and programs.
- Perform a variety of machining operations, including drilling, tapping, turning, threading, and profiling on two and four-axis lathes and manual machine tools.
- Load and remove components from machines as required.
- Check piece part dimensions, replace tooling, and adjust equipment as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Make offset changes as required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with a strong leadership style and ability to motivate team members.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Understanding of and ability to use various measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.
- Knowledge of GD&T and shop mathematics.
- Experience operating Mazak and Fanuc controlled machines.
- Ability to operate mills and lathes.
- CNC programming skills, including G-code and T-code.
