We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team and provide technical support to our major MSP clients in the Tampa region. This is a hybrid role that requires both remote and on-site work, providing tier 2-3 networking and desktop support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to on-site and remote users via phone, web-based tools, and email
  • Liaise between users and other team members, and assist remote team members with service delivery, projects, and requests
  • Assist with and solve technical issues related to Microsoft Office, M365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, network printing and scanning, VOIP, malware, and other technologies
  • Maintain technical expertise on desktop technologies, peripherals, networking, and cloud-based solutions
  • Support and implement Wi-Fi access points and Ubiquiti, other network infrastructure, WAN, LAN, and Firewalls (e.g., SonicWall)
  • Evaluate, recommend, and execute new technologies to ensure optimal desktop infrastructure and network performance
  • Perform preventive and proactive maintenance and support as needed
  • Document all work performed in the ticketing system (ConnectWise)
  • Accurately record all time and notes for work performed following company standards
  • Maximize billable status for work performed
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years' IT experience with networking, desktop technologies, and troubleshooting
Desired Skills
  • Microsoft, Network+, Security+, ITIL certification
  • Working knowledge of ConnectWise ticketing system, Labtech, Bomgar, Ubiquiti, SonicWall, VOIP, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and technical documentation
  • Ability to handle client interactions professionally and respectfully
  • Strong customer service and client management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Employment Terms

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary and benefits package. The typical business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with limited after-hours work required.

Travel and Work Location

This is a hybrid role that requires working from home and traveling to client facilities in the Tampa region and other central Florida locations as needed.
